Twin Lakes is managed by our Lake Association Board (staffed by volunteer lake homeowners) and the remaining lake homeowners make up our general members, who collectively maintain the beauty and safety of our common areas.
The President presides over all meetings of the Lake Board and Meetings of the Members, sees that orders and resolutions of the Lake Board are carried out, and signs all notes, leases, mortgages, deeds and all other written instruments. The President may also sign checks in the Treasurer's absence.
The Vice President performs all the duties of the President in their absence.
The Secretary records the votes and keeps the minutes of all proceedings. They also keep the records of the Association, including the List of Members of the Association: names, addresses, contact information, etc.
The Treasurer receives and deposits all monies of the Association and disburses such funds as directed by resolution of the Lake Board. The Treasurer signs checks and all notes of the Association. The Treasurer keeps proper books of accounts and makes a report thereof available to the annual Meeting of the Members.
Some associations may gain members-at-large if they grow beyond a certain point. A member-at-large is a board member who does not have a specific title, but they still have a key role to play in how the board, as a whole, functions. They attend all meetings and may also handle special projects, communicate with lake homeowners, mentor new board members, serve on committees, train for other roles, etc.
